#110 – DevOps Metrics

There are many great reasons for wanting to become a DevOps organization, and they all sound suspiciously similar to those of going agile; reduce the delivery lead time by creating flow and removing dependencies, become able to act on ever-changing surroundings, get closer to customers, delivering the right stuff in the right quality, yada yada yada.

What is important are the changes that your organization must make in order to fully embrace the wonders of DevOps and build a DevOps culture, such as organizing around Value Streams to reduce dependencies and increase flow, building the right mindset and toolstack, and empowering teams to really own their products. And, if you really want to measure the effects of DevOps, just take a look at your already defined metrics for going agile–because DevOps is agile.
