#180 – Product Teams

Having well-defined and well-architected products that are vehicles of end-to-end value to the customer and a team that can develop each product without any major dependencies to other products is an attractive ambition for many organizations.

Before architecting these products and Product Teams, however, think about the probability and consequences of an increase in the market demand for the given product; ask yourself how big an investment it would be to enable more teams to work on the product. Maybe, it’s a big investment, and maybe it’s a small one, depending on technology, competencies, cognitive load, etc., but have this talk before creating your Product Teams.
